Flames is for children in school years 3 to 6, who meet during our 9.30am service on Sundays.
Flames start off in one large group with a time of games and fellowship, normally then moving into a time of group worship, activities and a lot of tech stuff going on throughout to encourage the children’s walk with God. Sessions include a short talk/discussion topic of the chosen scripture and then then children breakaway into Year Groups for a time of Bible Study. These Bible Study times normally have three focussed questions and then are child led. The leader is there to help make sense of and guide the children in exploring the Bible and how it is relevant to their life today.
Parents/carers will normally remain within the main church service for this age group, but if you are visiting us with your child for the first time and would like to come in and settle them into group you are welcome to. Please chat to one of the team in Navy T-Shirts.
Ian Moulson is the Flames Team Leader.
On the third Sunday in the month, the children stay in church with the rest of the congregation for a one-hour all-age service.
