Mission Support
20% of the church's funds are set aside for mission, and the
Mission Support Group advises the Leadership Team on how this money
should be allocated. From time to time, they also recommend an
extra Thanksgiving Offering, to be given where there is a specific
need.
Practical, spiritual and financial support is given to members of
St Paul's who are called to overseas ministry, and the Mission
Support Group also liaises with the minister to plan short-term
overseas team trips.
An important role played by the Mission Support Group is to raise
the profile of missions in the life of St Paul's through visiting
speakers, magazines, leaflets, prayer letters, and the mission
notice board. They aim to enthuse the whole fellowship, and
ensure that church members are aware of where their money is being
spent and who and what they could be praying for.
The group is also responsible for
recommending which organisations and individuals we support each
